Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Act It Up account and its data yourself, from inside the app. It takes effect immediately and does not require contacting us.

How to delete your account

Open Act It Up and go to your Profile tab.
Tap the settings icon in the top corner.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Read what will be removed, then confirm. For your security you will be asked to sign in again to finish.

What is deleted

Your profile is closed the moment you confirm, and your content stops being visible to anyone at that point. The following is then permanently removed:

Your performances, including the video files.
Your profile, photo, bio, date of birth and gender.
Your followers and the accounts you follow, in both directions.
Your coin and points balances.

What stays, and why

Three things deliberately survive deletion, and none of them identify you:

Comments you left on other people's performances, with your name removed. Deleting them outright would punch holes in conversations other people are part of.
Your @username stays reserved. Releasing it would let someone else claim the handle and pose as you.
Records required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or financial compliance — transaction and payout records in particular, which we and our payment providers are obliged to retain for a period set by law rather than by us.

If you no longer have the app

If you cannot sign in — a lost device, a deleted app, an email address you no longer control — email privacy@actitup.app with the subject Account Deletion Request and the email address on the account. We may ask for further details to verify the request before acting on it, because deleting the wrong account is not something we can undo.
